Thoughts

This section of the blog captures my thoughts, observations and musings about sustainable adventuring, tech, the world and anything else that springs to mind.

My focus for the blog is really about living a more sustainable life whilst enjoying adventures and experiencing many of the great things this planet has to offer. Whilst rampant consumerism is killing the planet, whether through CO2 emissions or micro plastics, unsustainable agricultural practices or simply pure human greed, I strongly believe that with a bit of balance in life we can have it all. Fulfilling, rewarding lives that still allow us to travel, enjoy quality products and good food, but without driving us further down the path to destruction.

How can we achieve this? Well it isn’t easy. But part of the solution lies in: fixing broken products rather than sending to landfill, choosing better travel and holiday options to minimise impact, buying less junk full stop, embracing sustainable energy and wasting less, encouraging more wildlife in our gardens and just giving a shit.

As a tech specialist by profession I may also stray into thoughts on the latest tech from the impacts of Chat GPT to good news stories on how tech can help us forge a better planet.
